IKEA WHAT?

Ikea continues to impress me from the store...the items in the store (I can't go in there without seeing something I want to buy, it's almost dangerous!) and the advertisements.
This mall set up was an awesome idea. bringing a magazine cover to life.

See you at IKEA.

KIDS DAY

This is a great advertisement and even more an awesome prank.
Imagine coming into work Monday morning with you coffee to sit down to this.
Not to mention macs aren't cheap.

Caption reads:

Everyone in the company came into work to find their computer monitors vandalized with crayon scribbles. To promote "bring your kids to work day," childlike art was hand drawn on acetate sheets, which were trimmed to fit the screens. Building security secretly unlocked over 500 offices the night before to the acetate sheets could be affixed to everyone's computer monitor.

Headline and copy txt: "Bring your kids to work day."

Hands of my HEINY

This ad got my attention.
Typical women gocking over their closet space to the men gocking over their "man" space...which includes a huge freezer. Full of heiny of course.
The exaggeration of the men makes the ad. They're excitement even kills the women reaction.
priceless.

GURILLA ADVERTISING...or cockroach advertising?

Member of the Zoo york team must have had a little too much extra time on there hands as they decided to do some branding. Looks like a lot of fun to me, except I do believe the target audience was off....

FIRST MCDONALDS TELEVISION SPOT

This ad here for McD's just shows how far we've come and how long that creepy clown has been around for. One thing that really amazes me about this ad is the food shot. It's actually a real hamburger and how it would look if you bought it. Not like today when they have it all set up and they make it look appetizing.
Since McD's has been around forever, our kids will eat it..their kids kids will eat it and my grandpas dad's dad ate it. I don't think they're going anywhere for a long time.

The spirit

I recently went to the movies and got a ticket and 60 dollar popcorn (including the 2 dollar hat dog ad on) to see The Spirit.
So here's the deal.
This movie is split down the center for me.

The story of the movie. fucking sucked. I found it slow and meh.
but on the other hand. The art direction was super awesome. The half real half animated style is super cool and I'm 100 percent for it.

AUDI AD

I Found this ad surfing up the web or whatever...
I like the song, haha it makes me laugh. The ad is done pretty interestingly. Its not the typical car ad which you see the car zooming down the street and around the corners and bla bla bla.
anyways check it out. I appreciated it. and it probably took a long time to create, but it was well worth it.

I stumbled across these lego ads on a website and I love them.
I love them simply for the reason that..well I LOVE LEGO! its awesome and I always played with it as a kid.

The concept is simple, but I'm more interested how the target audience is for an older crowd rather than the typical young aged kids this product is directed to. The ads are broadening the age category of which lego us played with, or at least get an older audience to notice the brand/product.

This got my attention, as a pre lego user there was a connection right away with the ads. I could relate to them...though I never thought of building hot babes with my lego...hmmmmm...

VIRAL

Heres a 2nd year assignment we did for IKEA.

It turned out awesome. we were super happy and surprised how well it turned out. To say the least, making any type of video is fun.

Heres another short tv spot we made for Mr Noodles.

retail advertising

All those cluttered ads you see, including flyers that polute your bathroom floor, you know your bathroom time reading material.
They even strategically set up the grocery store so you have to walk through most of the store to the back of it to get milk.
1%
2%
homo
...I don't know anyone who drinks homo... my grandma drinks 1 percent...
It's pretty crazy how that gets people to purchase other things they don't or do need as well as their milk.
A lot of thought has been poured into the setup of your local grocery store, or any store you visit for the matter.
I tend to think about this a lot.
From those spontaneous check out aisle buys to paying more for you product to be on the middle or top of the shelf, because thats were the target is looking. rather than the bottom shelf. People are outsmarted every day of their lives, without even noticing!

I have no link.

New pepsi logo ?

Pepsi is in at the drawing board of re-branding themselves, not only have they changed the logo, but they will have to change everything they are about.
I'm stoked to see the new Pepsi, including a new campaign. I'm sure the competition would have to react quickly and maybe they will re-brand as well. It will be interesting to see, I'm excited...

Coca Cola WATCH OUT!
